The Journey

Jasai Miles began his athletic career at the age of 6 playing soccer. Although he enjoyed and excelled in this sport, making the All-star team two consecutive years, he soon knew his passion was to play and excel in basketball. Jasai began playing recreational basketball at the YMCA at the age of 7 and soon transitioned into joining their travel basketball team a year later.

After playing two years of Middle school basketball at Beachside Montessori in Hollywood Florida, Jasai was given the opportunity to play Varsity basketball as an 8th grader at Miami Country Day, a small private school in Miami Shores, Florida.

College Career

Jasai Miles began his collegiate career at the University of North Florida, where he developed into one of the most versatile guards in the ASUN Conference. After gaining valuable experience as a freshman, he broke out in his second year, earning Third-Team All-ASUN honors.

In April 2025, he transferred to Indiana University to join head coach Darian DeVries, who made it clear during the recruitment process: “This isn’t a random portal recruitment; this is a staff identity, a specific need, and want as we build a national championship-caliber roster.” With two years of eligibility remaining, Miles brings Big Ten-ready toughness, defensive versatility, and pro-level measurables. Under DeVries’ system, he is expected to play a significant role in Indiana’s pursuit of postseason success and position himself firmly on the radar as a legitimate NBA prospect.
